Ben has been with CKBR since 2006 and advises clients on a wide range of transactional matters, particularly commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and estate planning and probate. He enjoys working with all types of clients, including “mom and pop” businesses and property owners, nonprofit organizations, and national real estate firms with several billion dollars in assets.
Ben’s career highlights include serving as lead counsel on the following matters:
- The sale of a newly-built Class A multifamily project in the California Bay Area for $320 million.
- The acquisition and financing of a 5-property multifamily portfolio in Dallas, Texas for $225 million.
- The refinance of a 3-property multifamily portfolio with $85 million of new agency debt and $12 million of preferred equity.
Ben, a Colorado native, attended William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri where he played football, sang in the choir, and spent a year abroad at Oxford University. He returned to Colorado to attend law school at the University of Colorado, and lives in the Denver metro area with his wife and three children.
